Abstract
The ideal Arabic learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah or Madrasah Aliyah is
learning that allows students to master the four language skills (Maharat al-Istima, al-Kalam,
al-Qira'ah, and al-Kitabah) proportionally. In teaching Arabic, the method is one of the means
to achieve the teaching goal.
The imla' method is a dictation method or writing method where the teacher pronounces the
subject matter and students are asked to write it down in notebooks. This research uses
qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that is intended to understand the
phenomenon of what is experienced by the object of research by descriptive in the form of
words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various scientific methods.
The implementation of the inspection technique is based on a certain number of criteria. There
are four criteria used, namely the degree of trustworthiness (credibility), transferability
(dependability), and certainty (confirmability). So that the validity of the data can be accounted
for, then trigulation is carried out, namely comparing and checking back the degree of trust in
information obtained through different times and tools.
The findings and research results obtained through the interview process and direct
observation show that using the imla' method in learning Arabic can improve the quality and
learning outcomes of students, this is due to the supporting factors and good direct practice.
