Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of memorizing the Koran of students with external
motivation given by parents, teachers, friends and the environment. This research method uses
quantitative methods, with the type of experimental research. Data collection techniques in this study
were observation, questionnaires and documentation and data analysis techniques using validity tests,
normality tests, reliability tests, simple linear regression tests and t tests (partial). Based on the results of
the study, it can be concluded that the Effect of External Motivation on the Quality of Memorizing AlQuran seen from the research results obtained is the level of External Motivation received by class XI
students of Madrasah Aliyah Tahfdzil Quran Medan is classified as good with an average value of 105.91
and the Quality Level of Memorizing Al-Quran. The Koran of class XI students of Madrasah Aliyah
Tahfizhil Quran Medan is classified as high with an average score of 89.10
