Abstract

This paper will discuss the role of Islamic religious education in schools in shaping the character of students. Islamic religious education (pai) is one of the most important pillars of character education. Character education will grow well if it starts from the instillation of a religious spirit in children, therefore the pie material at school becomes one of the supports for character education. Through pie lessons, students use aqidah as their religious basis. In the Qur'an and hadith as a guide for his life. rambuadarambuqih as legal signs in worship, teaches Islamic history as a nudity of life and teaches morals as a guide for human behavior whether in the good or bad category. Therefore, the main purpose of learning pie is the formation of personality in students who are in behavior and patterns of thought in everyday life. In addition to this, the success of the pie in the wrong school is also determined by the application of the right learning method.
