Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a crossword puzzle strategy on students' learning motivation in the subjects of aqidah morality. The population in this study were students of SMA AL-BUKHORI MUSLIM, amounting to 12 people. While the sample was taken with a saturated sampling technique of 12 students. The data analysis technique used data quality test, data reliability test, hypothesis test, partial t-test (t-test). The results showed that the crossword puzzle method applied in the experimental class could significantly affect student learning outcomes in the subjects of aqidah and morality. This can be seen from the results of the average student learning outcomes who are taught by the crossword puzzle method, before the crossword puzzle method was applied to the experimental class, the mean x = 61.46. However, after applying the crossword puzzle posttest method, the experimental class got a mean x = 85.16. While the results of data analysis using the t-test obtained the value of tcount = 3.57 and ttable 2.02 so that the calculation results show that tcount is higher than ttable (tcount > ttable: 3.57 > 2.02).
